20th March saw the arrival of the new Volkswagen CC at the dealer network.

From 20th March 2012 customers are starting to take deliver of the first of the new Volkswagen CC models.

This is another car that piles on the style, combining four door practicality with a very smooth profile.

It has a range of engine choices, including a 1.8 litre with 160PS, and a 2.0 litre turbo diesel giving 170 PS.

The claimed fuel efficiency figures are impressive, and prices start at £24200 OTR, topping out in the low £30 000's.

As well as a competitive list price and whole-life costs, the CC has a generous standard specification that includes RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system, DAB digital radio, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, 2Zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and brake energy recuperation.  Safety features include a driver alert system, ESP electronic stabilisation programme and four-way adjustable front head restraints, to reduce the risk of whiplash.

The top GT trim comes loaded with even more equipment, with heated front seats, full Nappa leather upholstery, three-mode adaptive chassis control, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights and heat insulating tinted glass from the B-pillar back all included as standard.

If that’s not enough, options include High Beam Assist, which automatically controls dipping of the headlights; Side Assist, which monitors the vehicle’s blind spot; Lane Assist and adaptive cruise control with City Emergency Braking function; a rear-view camera; front climate seats with massage function; and an electrically deployed towbar.
